 Connect Academy’s 2025 expansion brings new programs and locations to better serve students with special needs—from early childhood through high school and beyond. Connect Academy is entering a powerful new chapter, one that reflects our commitment to supporting students throughout every stage of their educational journey. In response to growing demand from our partner districts and families, we’re expanding our footprint, refining our programs, and launching new services that will allow us to serve more students, more effectively than ever before.
What's Ahead in the 2025-2026 School Year
Connect Academy Pre-K–8 in Carol Stream Beginning August 2025, the programs currently known as Connect Academy Early Childhood, East, and Main will come together as one: Connect Academy, serving students from Pre-K through 8th grade at a single location.
Bringing all of our existing programs together under one roof allows us to provide a seamless, connected experience for students and staff while strengthening collaboration across age groups and disciplines. This modern, purpose-built campus features spacious classrooms and therapy areas, dedicated sensory integration rooms and recreation zones, and centralized offices for leadership, human resources, and student services. Our newest location is designed to support a cohesive, student-centered environment. Now Serving Grades 9–12: Connect Academy High School We’re proud to expand our continuum of care by opening Connect Academy High School, a new program designed for students in grades 9 through 12. This specialized high school will deliver the same therapeutic, individualized approach we’re known for; now supporting students through the transition to adulthood.
Students at Connect Academy High School will benefit from a comprehensive, individualized experience that includes tailored academic instruction, transition planning for life beyond graduation, and consistent emotional and behavioral support. With a strong emphasis on life skills development, students will thrive in a supportive setting designed to help them build confidence, independence, and readiness for the future. Supporting Students with Autism: Introducing Pathways Academy Launching this fall, Pathways Academy is a brand-new, specialized program developed specifically for students with autism. With an emphasis on communication, behavioral support, and structured learning, this program is designed to meet the diverse needs of students on the autism spectrum.
Pathways Academy combines evidence-based strategies with compassionate care, creating a safe, nurturing environment where students can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. From early childhood to high school, every program is built to deliver individualized, therapeutic education that empowers students to succeed.
