March Reintegrations at Connect Academy and Pathways Academy, celebrating student growth and successful transitions back to their home districts.

At Connect Academy and Pathways Academy, reintegration is one of the most important milestones in a student’s journey. It represents growth, progress, and the collective effort of staff, families, and district partners working together to support each student’s success.

This month, we are proud to recognize three students as they transition back to their home districts. Each of these students has demonstrated meaningful progress, and we are excited to celebrate this achievement with their families and support teams.

March Reintegrations at Connect Academy Carol Stream

​Connect Academy Student: Charlie
Charlie’s reintegration marks an important milestone and reflects the progress made through consistent support, structure, and collaboration. We are proud to celebrate this accomplishment and the work that made it possible.

Charlie's Teacher Brandon Adjoumani comments on Charlie's success: 

The 'I' in Charlie illuminates the word 'INTELLIGENT'! While many kids that are Charlie's age are not the biggest fans of reading, Charlie craves the opportunity to expand their mind with lucrative litany of literature. Never one to shy away from speaking their mind, I will always admire the passion Charlie has in speaking up for what they believe in. Never one to give up on an academic challenge, I will always admire the tenacity Charlie has, when pushing themselves academically. Charlie is an amazing student, who any teacher would be privileged to have. I am exceptionally proud of all the wonderful, and challenging progress Charlie has made. Not to copy the T.V. series, but.... 'GOOD LUCK CHARLIE'- YOU WILL BE MISSED!

March Reintegrations at Pathways Academy

Pathways Academy Student: Manha
Manha’s reintegration is a meaningful step forward and reflects the dedication, support, and progress made throughout their time at Pathways Academy. We are proud to recognize this milestone and celebrate their continued success.

​Classroom Teacher Julianna Bartello comments on Manha's progress at Pathways:

Manha is a very talented and kind student. She loves to assist her teacher in any way possible and tries to interact and engage with other students. She frequently assists me with teaching and she's always the first one to step up and answer. She knows how to make you smile when you are feeling down. She is empathetic and caring. She is creative in her play and storytelling. Everyone needs a Manha in their life.

Pathways Academy Student: Yusuf
Yusuf’s reintegration reflects the impact of a supportive and structured environment designed to help students build the skills needed for a successful transition back to school.

​Yusuf's father, Subhan, comments on the growth he has observed in his child while in the Pathways Program:

Pathways was a way for my kid to participate in a school environment without feeling the pressures of one, which gave him the ability to enjoy, participate, and prepare himself through various methods, activities, and tools provided at Pathways Academy. Pathways helped him achieve his IEP and even excel in some, without Pathways as a transition program, he would have had a difficult time at his school.

From his first day, the staff was so helpful in welcoming him and making him comfortable, the front office who were very accommodating to our specific and sometimes cumbersome needs, and  his teacher and his assistant teachers who always went out of their way to help my son feel welcome. They helped him develop and sustain daily functioning support skills. Their compassion and caring nature will never be forgotten.

We will forever be in gratitude to the staff at Pathways Academy for the incredible work and support provided to our son.

Pathways Academy Feedback: District Partner
Pathways was lucky to receive feedback from our district partner regarding the care Pathways Academy provided throughout the process. Tiffany from the students' home district states:

Pathways worked closely with our district  while two students from our district were placed at Pathways. The Pathways team communicated and collaborated so well throughout the entire  process with regard to the students' progress and data on behaviors. Pathways wrapped their  support around  parents throughout this process. When it was time to transition  the students back to the district, Pathways helped initiate  these conversations  and worked closely with our district to implement a thoughtful  transition  back to the district that was centered on student needs. ​
