How We Partner with Families

Ongoing Communication
We keep families informed through regular updates on their child’s progress, using phone calls, emails, and conferences to ensure they are always aware of their student’s achievements and challenges. This open line of communication allows for timely support and collaboration between home and school.

Collaboration on Goals & IEPs
Families play an active role in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings, working alongside educators and therapists to set goals that align with both school and home expectations. By ensuring that strategies are consistent across environments, we help students develop skills that promote long-term success.

Inclusive Events & Community Building
We are expanding family involvement at Connect Academy and are taking intentional steps to strengthen connections between home and school. This year, we introduced classroom visit opportunities, allowing parents and guardians to engage directly with students. Additionally, we hold parent-teacher conferences twice a year to discuss student progress and strengthen communication. Looking ahead, we are planning to involve family volunteers in our Field Day event this June, marking another step in building a more engaged school community.
