Happy New Year and welcome back, Connect Academy families and students! We hope you had a joyful and restful winter break filled with moments to recharge, reflect, and create cherished memories. As we step into 2025, we are thrilled to have our halls buzzing once again with the energy, laughter, and curiosity of our amazing students.

This year holds so much promise, and we’re excited to continue partnering with you to help our students grow, learn, and thrive. Whether your child is at Connect Academy Main, East, or Early Childhood, our mission remains steadfast: to provide individualized education and therapeutic support tailored to each student’s unique needs.

RENEWED FOCUS ON GROWTH

As we kick off this new term, we are reminded of the incredible progress our students have made so far. Winter break offered a moment to pause and reflect on their achievements—from meeting IEP goals to discovering new interests and building confidence in their abilities. With this fresh start, our team is ready to build on that momentum, helping every student set new milestones and exceed expectations.

WHAT'S AHEAD THIS SEMESTER?

Here’s a glimpse of what’s coming up in the weeks and months ahead:

• Personalized Learning Goals: Our educators and therapists have exciting plans to further customize instruction and interventions for each student. Expect progress updates as we continue to collaborate with families to ensure every child’s success.
• Special Programs and Events: Look forward to interactive lessons, art and music therapy sessions, and engaging social-emotional learning activities, including our Al's Pals program at the Early Childhood campus.
• Community Connections: We’re expanding our partnerships with school districts and local organizations to provide more enriching opportunities for our students and their families.

TIPS FOR A SMOOTH TRANSITION BACK TO SCHOOL

Returning to a structured school day can be a big shift after the break. Here are some tips to help your student transition smoothly:

1. Re-establish Routines: Consistent bedtimes, mealtimes, and homework habits create a sense of security and predictability.
2. Celebrate Small Wins: Acknowledge your child’s efforts in getting back into the swing of things, whether it’s waking up on time or completing their first-day tasks.
3. Open Communication: Share any questions or concerns with our team. We’re here to support your child in every way possible.
