CONNECT ACADEMY PROGRAM

We’re proud to introduce the newly unified Connect Academy program, serving students in Pre-K through 8th grade at our expanded campus in Carol Stream, Illinois. This therapeutic day school provides a structured, supportive environment for students with emotional, behavioral, and developmental needs. Connect Academy combines individualized instruction with integrated therapies to help students achieve their IEP goals while building strong academic, social, and emotional foundations. The program is designed to support student growth and reintegration into less restrictive learning environments whenever possible.

Connect Academy Enrollment

PROGRAM OVERVIEW
Connect Academy offers a structured, therapeutic learning environment designed to support academic progress, emotional regulation, and behavioral growth in students from Pre-K through 8th grade.

Key features include:

• Individualized instruction aligned with Illinois Learning Standards and each student’s IEP
• Embedded social-emotional learning through structured lessons and therapeutic supports
• Integration of art, music, movement, and pet therapies to enhance regulation and engagement
• Small class sizes (maximum 10 students) with a maximum 5:1 student-to-staff ratio in every classroom
• Clear behavior support systems emphasizing safety, consistency, and positive reinforcement
• Strong collaboration with families and districts to support learning and reintegration

Program Overview

NOW ACCEPTING REFERRALS
Connect Academy is currently accepting referral applications for new students from partner school districts. Checkout our Referrals Page to learn more about the process and refer a student to the Connect Academy Program. 

Our referral process includes:

• Referral application from home district
• Review
• Program placement (if accepted) 
• Ongoing Support 

​Referrals are accepted on a rolling basis until capacity is reached. Early applications are encouraged to secure placement.

Our team at Connect Academy is comprised of highly skilled and dedicated professionals committed to providing exceptional support and education to students with special needs. Each member brings a wealth of experience and a deep passion for fostering the academic, social, and emotional growth of every student. Connect Academy is led by Site Administrator, Mollie Marshall.

Mollie Marshall
Site Administrator 

Mollie Marshall is the Site Administrator for Connect Academy. She spent eight years as a self-contained special education teacher in Frankfort, Illinois before joining Connect Academy in 2022, where she played a key role in its establishment as the K-2 teacher. Mollie previously served as an assistant principal and she now leads Connect Academy as the Site Administrator. Mollie graduated from Illinois State University with an undergraduate degree in special education and holds two master's degrees from the American College of Education, one in special education and the other in educational leadership. With a deep commitment to fostering inclusive and supportive learning environments, Mollie is dedicated to ensuring that every student at Connect Academy receives the highest quality education and support. Her passion for education and unwavering dedication to her students and staff inspire a nurturing and empowering atmosphere where everyone can thrive.
